Wyoming County SPCA

Our Mission

The Wyoming County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (WCSPCA) in Attica, NY provides refuge for cats and dogs that have been surrendered, abandoned or abused.

Our mission is to relieve their suffering and create a community in which animals are respected and valued.

We are a no-kill shelter that gives each animal individual attention, medical treatment and compassionate daily care until a loving home can be found.

We educate the public about the proper care of pets and work with law enforcement authorities to prevent and respond to cases of animal cruelty.

The SPCA would be grateful if the members of the church, and community would join them in their effort to help out the SPCA (and the animals).

  • THE SHELTER IS OVERRUN WITH CATS - Currently more than 300 beautiful cats need homes! – If you or someone you know can provide a home for one or more wonderful cats, please stop by and view the eager candidates.  Monetary donations are gratefully accepted, to help spay & neuter the next batch of 'dumped' kittens.  Why not become a member?!   You can also donate online, by visiting the DONATIONS page of their website.

  • THE SPCA HAS WAVED ADOPTION FEES FOR CATS OVER 1 YEAR OLD!

  • The SPCA is in CONSTANT need of plastic grocery bags.

Please gather yours, and bring them to the church, whenever the church is open.

  • THE SPCA IS ALWAYS IN NEED OF CLAY CAT LITTER!

  • The SPCA needs Blankets (and other soft things) & Laundry Detergent, as they are almost completely cage free in the main Cat Room.
